International Holocaust Remembrance Day - Jan 27

The United Nations General Assembly designated January 27—the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau—as International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a time to remember the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the millions of other victims of Nazi persecution. As we are witnessing an alarming rise of antisemitism around the globe, it is more important than ever for us to recognize the critical lessons of Holocaust history as we commemorate the victims and honor the survivors.

Building Improvements

Scott Daggs, our building and grounds chair, has recently overseen and participated in several projects that have been completed: vastly improved night-time lighting of both the upper and lower parking lots; remediation of water damage by the front entrance; and the placement of an AED just outside the cloakroom to provide a first-line response to medical emergencies. The remodeling of our Torah Ark is a recently completed project that greatly beautifies our sanctuary.  The redesign of the lower entrance to upgrade security is a major ongoing project.
