The Jewish National Fund-USA and Congregation Brit Shalom present Israeli Outdoor Movie Night at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23 in the lower parking lot at Congregation Brit Shalom. The whole family is invited for dinner and a movie under the stars.
The movie, Foreign Letters, is about Ellie, a homesick 12-year-old Israeli girl who recently moves to the U.S. Life brightens for her when she meets Thuy, a Vietnamese refugee her age. Though they don’t seem to have much in common, they share an experience of being a stranger in a new country, and trust slowly builds between them as the two teach each other about growing up in America.
