Please join Congregation Brit Shalom for a Virtual Tour of the Tenement Museum. Located in Manhattan's Lower East Side, the Tenement Museum showcases what life was like for the immigrants and migrants who lived in these widely recognized buildings. Our Virtual Tour will center around the Rogarshevsky family, who came from Lithuania to live at 97 Orchard Street in the 1910s, working at garment factories throughout the city. Our Museum Educator will virtually guide us through their home and discuss what life was like for this Jewish-American family, immersing us in their history, relationships, challenges and opportunities.
This event is appropriate for all ages.
Space is limited, so please fill out a register form in advance by using the link given below. Rebecca Thorsen will send you an email with the Zoom Link before the event on Sunday, March 7. If your plans change after you sign up and you can no longer attend, or if you have any questions about this event, please contact Rebecca: beccapthorsen@gmail.com or 814-360-7819.
