In coordination with the Brit Shalom Social Action Committee, the Religious Action Committee (RAC) of the Union for Reform Judaism has invited our congregation to register for a workshop led by George Cheung. He is the Director of More Equitable Democracy. According to the RAC, participants will deepen their understanding of the electoral system used in Pennsylvania, the importance of the redistricting process, and the potential impact of the coalition’s “unity maps”. Further, the presentation will also cover future reform opportunities that seek to strengthen representative democracy in the Keystone State.
