Ann Arnold will speak about her book, Together: A Journey for Survival, which chronicles her grandmother’s courageous story of saving her family from the Nazis. The story displays the magnificent strength of a mother's love and the incredible courage of good people during the worst of times. Ann’s father, aunt and grandmother did not go to the death camps, but they saw a side of the war that very few people survived: in the forests and farms. As Ann tells the story, her father, Mark (Manek) Schonwetter, one of the children who survived the journey portrayed in the book, will be accompanying her as part of the program.
Ann was awarded the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Heroes for Tolerance award for her work and lecturers on tolerance. A graduate of Lehigh University, Ann earned her CPA while working at Deloitte. She has been an award-winning designer and manufacturer of bridal jewelry, and is currently president of a business consulting firm. She is also a cousin of our member Renee Marks.
