On November 9-10, 1938, Jewish homes, synagogues, and businesses throughout Germany were shattered and ransacked, leaving streets littered with glass and lives fractured beyond repair. This night marked a terrifying escalation of violence, signaling the beginning of the Holocaust and the Nazi regime’s relentless persecution of Jews.
In 2024, we reflect on Kristallnacht not only as a reminder of the past but as a call to confront rising antisemitism in our world today. From global incidents of hate to attacks targeting Jewish communities and institutions—including recent threats to Israel—this remembrance reinforces our commitment to educating and fighting against prejudice and violence. By acknowledging this dark chapter, we honor the memories of those who suffered and renew our resolve to stand against all forms of hatred.
